Default Crazzy Jitters

okay this is hard to explain and i dont really know where to start so work with me here. i really hope someone can help me though.

i have the game MW2 on AlterIW.
i current pc specs are 2gig ram, 2.5g dual core amd 4600, 256mb 7300 gs

i have tried many different tcp settings and graphics options. i have tried many different driver versions from the earliest available to the latest.

its NOT an fps problem despite the crap card i can play the game fine on average of 35fps.

what happens is when im playing every once in a while it will start to skip on me and nots just because im walking into a new part of the map.

lets see...i have used many scanner for adware malware spyware and virus.
ive used spybot, adware, counterspy, avira, and kaspersky. zero infections where found.

i got this image from another post somewhere else but it will do cause its the same as me.

http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/7246/appunti01d.jpg

in this image apparently is the ground too bright and some textures on the plane are messed up too according to another poster where this pic came from.

now the solution givin there was that the graphics card was going bad.
so i took this is to account and borrowed a card from a buddy and i still had the same problems. bright ground an jitters n all.

honestly i dont know if the bright ground and jitters are even related.
but i can play ANY other game on my pc just fine i have MANY games i play and it wont kill me if i cant play this one. but i REALLY do like to play MW2 alot its one my most favorite simply cause i can pwn all in hardcore mode. :-)

ive even went so far to reinstalling windows....*sighs* what a in pain in the arse it is too.

if anyone has similar problem or have ever had these problem please help me.

in short i have no clue as what im talking about anyhow. any information u need me to give say so i will post it.

i have the game MW2 on AlterIW. does this mean it's an illegal copy?

specs are passable but not "great" for the game. are you playing this on lowered gfx settings? anti-aliasing x2 or off? that explains the jagged edges along the plane edges but not the large color blocks.

Does it occur if you are playing in low ping games or during private matches on your computer or a friends?

See bold responses above. The brightness seems a tad hot but it could be your monitor settings or in game brightness settings. Hopefully you will get some of our other forum PC players to chime in as well. I can play COD4 on max settings but have to play MW2 on grossly low settings to keep my fps up high enough. It's possible your comp can't handle MW2 on the same settings that you use for other games. Much like mine!

its not illegal copy its just a different network the servers are hosted on rather then steam networks. though i have notice most end up crashing after a bit specially when lots of people play in it.

i ALWAYS play server with ping under 90.
i dont use any AA or AF

no its deffintly not any brightness OR contrast setting either on my monitor or in the game settings. ive tried any console command i can think of for adjusting things that make it really bright. the ONLY thing that is bright though is the ground. nothing else in game is that bright. i have a 22inch flat screen monitor that displays beautiful colors.

as far as my pc not being able to handle the game it does just fine. i get an average 35 fps on all maps. and that includes looking down from the clifftop in afghan which is the spot that takes up the most fps for me. if i want to i can get more fps i can play with 50+fps if i use rivatuner to adjust my level of detail to +15 but then everything looks crappy and in highrise u cant look through shudders cause at one solid texture. but it will remove some things like bushes where people can hide where u normally wouldnt see them. then u can be called a hacker xD.

as far as i can tell it only does it in multiplayer.
mayb theres something wrong with my NIC, its onboard.

the stutter only happens every once in a while but when it starts its ugly. it is either skipping frames or there is hardware lag of some sort. lag from my harddrive or something. but when it starts i skip for like just 1second with like 4 or 5 intervals of like 3 seconds.

i dont know, im not very good at trouble shooting things. and im hopin someone can give a few pointer on what to look at to see mayb what the problem is. if there is a program i have to use to look at something then so be it i will get it.

okay ive been looking around and found someone with the same error as me on speedtest.net. i got to thinking it might be internet problem so i searched something up. everytime on speedtest.net i always get a fail on the upload part. upload failed it would say. anyhow he said the reason for this was due to packetloss. mayb i am getting network congestion or something and some packet loss. does anyone know how i can test this?

Any help here is appreciated, thanks you all.

EDIT| well there doesnt seem to be any packet loss when i ping a website is command prompt. but mayb it is different for server on alteriw network.

i dont know i am only trying to explore anything that can be thought of to be my problem

solved. if anyone has similar problems i will write how i fixed for future reference. lol good thing i fixed on my own cause the only person here who want to give me feedback was GhostHands.

anyhow the problem was overclocking.
apparently MW2 dont like anything to be overclocked.
just remove all overlcokings from your cpu, memory, and graphics card.
lol with this done my cpu go from 2.55 to 2.12 xD and my memory go from 533mhz to 400mhz :-X my card wasnt oc to begin with since it a GS.
lol now when i load windows the blue bars that pass on xp pro go past 6 times instead of just one. MY GOD! lol i never even knew i could overclock my pc till today! :-)).

<<<NOOB

though i still dont understand the very bright ground. its only on a couple maps. i notice mainly on afghan though. oh well i dont play afghan often anyhow.

i just want to say thanks to anybody who took there time to atleast read this topic. even if u werent able to help.

Thanks for posting your results. Minus the OC'ing, you and I have a similar setup so I was really hoping that I could help you more. Alas, I am the noobiest computer nerd on the forum. Hope you will stick around MW2F now that you are up and running normally.
