Hello, I just bought my xbox sunday but I have played with on many friends xbox's. I am having a problem playing with my friends on call of duty modern warfare 2. I know a little about some of the problems and I have checked almost everything I have been told to do. 1. I CAN play modern warfare 2 on xbox live online with no problem.
2. My NAT is OPEN I know that this is definitely not the problem.
3. I have tried more that 2 friends and I know that it is not them because they can connect with eachother but not me.
4. It doesnt work it I send them the invite, neither does it work if they send me the invite.
5. Although when I connect my internet through my router my NAT is open. But when I connect x-box live directly through the modem my NAT comes up as strict. (could this be the problem?)
Any help would be very much appreciated thanks!

Turn off your modem for 30 seconds then plug it back in.
This Usually fixes the problem.

I find I have a hard time connecting with certain friends, sometimes you have to reset your internet connection. My internet is wireless so i unplug my modem and router for about 10 seconds and it usually fixes the problem, if it doesnt then the problem is on my friends end so he'll do the same and it usually fixes it.

I've got this exact same issue (PC though) and we still cannot figure out why we can't invite each other - it's getting damn frustrating!

resetted, NAT settings, etc etc....nothing works arrrrrrrrgh
