I was experimenting w/ a stun grenade/Blast Shield/Striker combo last night to flush out campers in buildings and noticed something odd. With the blast shield equipped, I could throw a stun grenade into a room, stun everyone else in there and just pick everyone off. However, if the enemy tossed a stun grenade into the same room, I'd be blinded like normal.

I always thought the Blast Shield would reduce the effect of grenades no matter who threw them? I guess this is a balance thing since someone could literally sit in a corner w/ a blast shield while people rained in stun grenades and still cut people down.

Its official description says it protects against explosive damage like the flap jacket perk from WaW. Idk about the special grenade thing, could be a small glitch.

Maybe it only works for explosive grenades, not special grenades like Flash and stun.

I think it's the riot shield that protects against special grenades....

Downside

Only Stun nades, flash bangs still blind you.

To OP its as it protects against explosions it shouldn't work against stuns or flash as they work diferently to nades, semtex, c4 etc.

in the lvl no russian the enemy is hiding behind the shield but they also shoot, how can i do that? i wanna hide and shoot at the same time!
