Ok so if you haven't seen them. There are these hacked game lobbies where people go in and get instant level 70 with any kill. I accident strolled in one of this on Free For All not noticing. Killed someone and BAM everything is unlocked and I hit level 70. I was pissed... I didnt want to cheat to get level 70. So now because my account is now cheated, I randomly get disconnected from games, the game info that comes up after a game to let you know how much XP you got and what accolades you got is see threw, and everytime I try to go into a game I get this message Fetching Playlists, Updating Rank and Unlocks, and Connecting to IWNet Server Complete... and it says on that message for a long time before I can get on. I never had these problems before I went into that god forsaken lobby. What do I do to fix it? And a warning to people that go into these servers... If you see a free for all with a crap load of people in it and you run faster and doesnt look right, DONT KILL ANYONE just quit the game. Its not worth it!!

You are pretty screwed here as, unlike with a dedi server setup, steam has virtually all of your game files (except graphics settings & control layout)

If you can manage to interupt steam whilst it is "synching" or updating your rank upon quiting MW2 MP your rank reportedly resets to level one. Steam is, suprisingly, too clever to let you just exit so you have to make it crash/close "unexpectedly." For example clicking "end proccess" in task manager.

There are probably better solutions out there.

I take it, this is one of the reasons not having dedicated servers has screwed over the PC community?? You're at the mercy of steam who clearly don't seem to have any control over hackers??

So my account is screwed? nothing i can do to get my account back? I tried doing the next level of prestige to get the updating new ranks and challenges message off. but it didnt help. and now im getting DCed from mostly every game i play. this sucks! damn you hackers!!!
