I am using a 52" Zenith Plasma screen TV, and when connected via HDMI, the audio lags. It's pretty annoying, and throws me off quite a bit, so naturally, I want to fix it.

Any suggestions?

You sure it is the HDMI cable? Usually TVs are what cause lag, not cables.

Audio is completely in sync for everything else, just not MW2. So, I'm pretty sure it's the cord o_o

So what about other games or uses of your PS3? Play a video or another game and if that has audio lag then you have a problem with hardware.

Okay, so I was wrong, it's not audio lag. Like, the time from I hit a button, to the time that it takes for the screen to select that, with the sound is off. idk. Lol

Yes, some TVs have lag between the time you press a button and the result of that button being pressed showing up on the screen. It's very annoying, especially with games that require precision, such as Guitar Hero/Rock Band and First Person Shooters.
