For some reason, whenever I start up MW2, I get the screen like when you first actually start the game (Brightness, Borders, Do you want to skip SP level). Even when I go to my 1st prestige account this happens. Then I will get to the main screen with my SP and MP at 0% completed. If I go to either, I will still have everything I had, but it doesn't show the percentage.

Selecting MP gives the "We strongly suggest you play Campaign first" box. My sensitvity/button layout also gets reset.

What's causing this?

Hmm... Never seen this before.

Sounds like something to do with your Game Data? Do you have any idea at all what caused this/ why it could have happened or did it just start happening randomly?

It just started randomly a few weeks ago.

Oh, and I meant resetting in the title....

Did you or anyone try to hack the game?? Not being accusatory, but in all seriousness that can cause the type of problem your describing.

No, I and the only two people that played it besides me (cousin and friend, of which I was always there watching them) never tried to hack the game.

The only way all of those sorts of things would happen but your rank and save games not change is that your MP/SP config is resetting each time. The MP/SP config deals with controls & video settings but not rank or game saves.

MP/SP config is programmed to reset to default if disallowed changes are made to the controls/video-settings.

Very unlikely these even exist for MW2, but have you downloaded any "trainers" or "ping reducers" or made ANY manual (by finding your config via "my computer," opening it, editting it, hitting save) changes?

I had the same problem.

I had too much (and I mean TOO much) stuff saved on the PS3.

Delete whatever you really don't want, delete the MW2 save (online doesn't reset), start single player, save, and ta-da.

I had a similar problem so i deleted my save game and redone campaign and it was fine, and all my online data was intact
