Everytime I open up Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, I get the same message

"Your data is from an old version of the game. You must reset your rank and unlocks to continue"

So I have reset my ranks back to level 1 (private) and got to level 6 last night but when i reopened it today, I got the same thing.

Now my mate showed me what a 10th prestige level hack does (unlocks guns + emblems etc) and then he deleted it, but after he left and I replayed the game I was back at 10th prestige, he then told me, I would have to level hack to a lower level, so I said 70 no prestige, 0% complete, he done it and now its completely fucked.

BTW I wasn't hacking for an advantage, I am new to playing PC games and want to see what hacks did. I dont have any other hacks beside level hacks.

I am grateful for any/ all help recieved.

I can't help with the "Data" issue, however the other is pretty simple - Don't hack. Some consider it cheating.

It's been rumored that IW was going to fix the 10th prestige hack...could be this is the fix? If so, that's pretty harsh, but so is hacking a game.

Well I was Prestige 1 level 54 before the hack, with a good kill death ratio.

Can no one help me ?
