Is there a hack to kick someone off XBL? I notice that when I'm doing particularly well, more often than not, I lose my connection to XBL. This happens several times a day! It's incredibly frustrating, because it also usually doesn't save any of my experience earned from that game. Also, if I'm doing well because I'm Noob Toobing, it happens almost every time. Since it's only when I'm doing well, it makes me suspicious that someone is raging and looking to get revenge or something. It also happened a couple times last night in FFA while I was goofing off with the riot shield, no doubt pissing people the f*ck off.

My connection is always 3 bars and I can instantly reconnect to XBL and rejoin the game in progress.

Also, this isn't a constant thing at regular intervals. I can go a couple hours and not have one incident, or I can have two disconnects in an hour. And according to my dad, the IP address is static, so I'm not obtaining a new IP or anything (i am plugged into a router).

Edit: So my questions are..
Is there a hack to kick someone off XBL? And does it sound like that's happening to me? is this a common issue with X360 MW2? Or what else could be going on?

I don't think it's a hack, and it's not a common issue, check the support page IW/X-box has (I think).

I would love to know this too cause It was always when I was doing good I would lose connection. It might just be a random thing though cause it does happen sometimes when I am doing bad although I don't notice it as often.

Apparently, we've been due for an upgrade on our cable modem, and I read another person with this issue had it resolved by getting a new modem. I went ahead and got the upgrade and haven't gotten too much play time in, but so far, no disconnects. I'll come back and update if it turns out it really didn't fix it.

Also, I checked the support, and the link to my question didn't help at all. It was just about NAT type and how it affects who you can play with or hear.

Are you using wireless or wired connection? I think wireless can be really unreliable sometimes..

I'm wired. Also, there was another change. I had been going through a switch first, then the router, then the modem. I'm now directly into the router. So if my problem is solved, it could have been a bad modem OR a bad switch.

Okay, problem is definitely not solved. I just dropped like 6 times within one hour. 4 of those were in a private match, and I was by myself. Everyone else at my house was either asleep or not home. I wonder if it's just a MW2 thing.. I can't believe how glitchy the whole XBL experience is with MW2. It's pathetic..

moved to technical issues, while I can see why this would seem like a Quick Q&A (and thank you for actually thinking about where to put your thread) it is not so much a discussion about the game as a tech issue

I would also suggest looking at some of the other threads in tech issues that relate to connection dropping out etc.

I can't help beyond that.

Still no answers? Does anyone know another place I might go to ask about this? As it is, the game is unplayable. I could at least tolerate it if it saved the experience/achievements earned from the games I drop out of, but this is insane...

if your talking about getting kicked from XBL alltogether then that can only be a problem with your connection personally, but if your referring to just getting kicked out of the lobby either abruptly or by "losing connection to host" then its when the host of the game dashboards. It will kick everyone out and nobody will get any exp. The game counts as a loss to everyone except for the host although if your on a win streak the loss wont effect that.

I hope this helped i figure that if its happening when your doing good or noob tubing then these are times when the host might wanna dashboard and d/c you from the lobby.

Thanks for responding! I am being kicked off XBL completely, but it appears to only happen when I'm playing MW2.

Hi I would just like to say I have the exact same problem I'll be doing really well on mod2 and all of a sudden get disconnected gets so mad you lose all your exp but the weird thing is you get signed str8 back in people on xbox have told me me people can kick you somehow it started when I was playing cod4 just before mod2 come out I'm thinking maybe it's the infinity ward servers my network orange is perfect with anything else I play I don't get it it's just with mod2 and cod4 please help me

Same here. Thing is, both times it happened to me, my 360 had Red Rings and i turned it off and on and it was fine, but i couldn't connect.

Yeah, wtf. I only get disconnected when I'm doing really well. When I'm not, the connection is fine.

It really seems like a MW2 bug. Otherwise it would disconnect more randomly.

Same problem from day one (November 2009). Just bought the game I get disconnected from XBL to six times a day. Today (June 2010) only twice a day.
I have to unlock all the challenges at least twice.
