Hi guys a random but quick question..

I recently learned that the audio files from MW2 can be pulled out of the .IWD files with winrar. I am trying to find a particular sound that i cant find, even though i've looked through the audio files for hours.

i'm talking about the AC130 sound when it deploys angel flares it goes "Beep beep beep beep DING DONG"

SO.. if anyone has come across this sound or can help me out finding it, it will be greatly appreciated,

I've also looked through all the relevant IWD files (iw_12 to iw_21 and the localized ones), but I haven't been able to find any weapon sound files at all (e.g. the AK firing sound). My guess is that these sound files are stored in encrypted fastfiles (*.ff).

If i knew how the files look i might be able to help you, But i do not own it on the PC. so i cant help you past that

Yep, that is most likely where they are if you can't already find them.

Although, if you have found other similar ones to do with KSs etc., then maybe you just missed it?

May I ask what you need this for?

I will look into this. I might be able to get an video off youtube, cut out the video with vegas, and keep the sound. I am unsure if you will be able to open the file tough

Here you go, Mp3 file. Its not just the sound but also has some other sounds (like uav is online, ). Im sorry, but this is from youtube gameplay, And this is probly the easyest way to get it.

I've managed to extract some of the sounds in the ff file common.ff .. but hte first 4 minutes i can't get anything. I tried to do other ff files but it told me it wasn't a zip format or something.

I was also looking for the ac130 sounds. I'm sure someone has had to have found it by now, a search on the net lead me here. I found most of the gun shot sounds, but still looking for other sounds like sniper holding his breathe, shield noise, the clipping noise if you hit someone with a bullet etc
