Default Stat discrepancies
In my stats for the M9 I have two different values for number of kills. I forgot to right them down so can't remember the exact number but as an example.
It says number of kills 200/500
Then in the prestige challenge (the glowing green one at the bottom of the list) it says 199/500

Any other stat discrepancies like this?

perhaps you got 1 M9 kill before your first prestige

I thought all the stats apart from prestige got reset though.

tac knife kill won't count towards prestige kills. Perhaps this is what happened here.
