PSN: Unable to join games last night. - Modern Warfare 2 Forum: Free Call of Duty MW2 Community

I logged in to play last night at around 21:00 hours PST. I couldn't joing a game at all, the only way I was able to play was when someone invited me into their party.

Did anyone else have this problem on PSN last night?

The opposite in fact
I couldn't invite people or join their invite
The only way to play was pick a game on my own or join someones lobby not their party

Well that is weird for sure, and frustrating... I hope it isn't like that tonight.

yeah hope so. Spent ages last night just waiting for a slot to open in a lobby so i could play OzballO

Maybe it was because I had a Strict NAT Type? I will have to call mah peeps today to see if they can change it.

It may well have been. I had trouble connecting to others too though. Strict does limit your ability do have people join you. Joining others should be ok so long as they are not strict too.

I dunno maybe it's because I don't have amazing internet and you are soooo far away?

That could be it, it would have to be NAT Type: OPEN...

maybe it had something to do with the MW2 "playlist" being refreshed this happens after small updates or patches on xbox all you have to do to fix it is go to the dashboard or restart your xbox and you should have the same as everyone else. Or the problem could have been the opposite where they had an old playlist who knows.

Anyways i dont know for sure so just an idea lol.

the playlist refreshing thing is a IW modern warfare thing not an xbox thing.

I was stuck in the lobby as "it" searched for games, forever... and it could find any even though it said "24 games in progress".

@ Alpha - I've had that once or twice in the past, signing out and turning the PS3 off/on again worked for me. did you try that?
Funny though, last night it was taking a while to find games and would sit at 0/25 for a good 10secs before finding me one. Maybe they've messed up something since integrating the dlc into the normal playlists.

@ Skuh - i've ggogled the sh1t out of our invite problem and the internet seems to be full of a lot of angry PSN users unable to invite friends with no real solution. There's one apparent 'solution' which is to invite a friend, delete them from your friends list, then re-invite them as a friend and they should then be able to accept the party invite. Do that every time we want a game? Bugger that!

That sucks. This weekend I may have to put my techy head on.
