All of a sudden today my HUD - map, perks when I spawn, bullets left, etc, are all closer in than they should be. I don't have any pictures, but its like if the screen was smaller thats where they would be, but it is indeed bigger. Its annoying because when people chat, the words get in the way of what I can see.

In on PC, and have clicked 'optimal video and audio' twice now, as well as trying different aspect ratios, resolutions, etc, although I don't really know what that all is. Does anyone know how this happened and what I can do to fix it?

I'm pretty sure there are command lines in your config_mp that control the size of HUD, chat etc., although I am not sure of which ones or their default values.

Try a search on the IW forums and see if anyone else has had the same problem.

There were in COD, COD2, COD4 & COD:WaW. A hell of a lot of config optiosn have been removed for MW2 though (not saying these have, just that they don't feature by default, and I'd be suprised if the game didn't recognise them)

deleting your config_mp.cfg and restarting the game will force MW2 to provide you with a default config. Said file does not contain your stats (only controls, game settings & graphics/sound settings) so deleting it should not affect your rank/classes etc in any way. That's my way of saying do not blame me if anything goes wrong

Ehh who gives a crap about stats lol. It would just give me a fresh start without all the piles of deaths and negative KDR games that I had from the beginning...

Where might I find these files?
