Been playing MW2 since release, recently I've been having trouble getting into a party with a certain friend we'll call him friend "0". It's only friend "0" that I have problems with, I can't party with him no matter what. If I try to directly it says "Unable to connect to Host" he's tried inviting me I've tried inviting him, no go.

We have also tried having another friend start a party, So i join with my other friend and it's working perfectly, but as soon as friend "0" joins the party it boots me out, and everyone else stays in the party. If I join the party when they're already in the game, I join game and it goes to me spectating a random player who's character looks frozen then it says "Connection Interrupted" and boots me out of the room.



I can sometimes "Join Session" with him if he's in another game but we're almost never on the same team then. And if by chance one of us gets booted it takes forever to get an opportunity to join back up with him.

This problem just started happening about a week and a half ago. Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Extremely strange, never heard of it before. There obvious things I think are below.

Do you and your friend share the internet connection? Or anything similar.

If not, NAT Level seems to be an obvious thing to check as well.

what country does your "friend" live in?

Uk and USA connections dont mix very well, when one is the host most of the time the other will have 1-2 bars now add some rubbish internet connection that could have happened to you a week ago and here we are today

He lives about 15 miles from me. It's just strange that he gonna group with all our friends and I can group with all our friends but we cannot group together. He shares a connection with another friend of mine and me and him can group together. It's really aggrivating

I have a similar problem with a friend on my list. 2 actually but one is in US. We don't boot each other off when we do get joined though. Unfortunately this problem has never been corrected but it gets better worse at seemingly random times. It seems to be worse after an update of playlist or something from IW.

Me + Skuh had this problem for a while but (touch wood) it seems to have sorted itself out the last couple of weeks. Tried everything at the time, deleting/re-adding as a friend etc, nothing worked. So whatever happened was probably out of our control, ie
1) An internet problem one of us was having without realising
2) An IW glitch that randomly cures itself

But the last few days it's as if nothing was ever wrong. Sorry I don't have a solution for you, it's a frustrating bunch of arse.
