I was just playing cod as usual, when i noticed I couldn't swap weapons anymore. I wondered if the keys didn't respond so I tried the following:
-Use another weapon swapping key
-try to swap weapon on SP
the first one didn't allow me to swap weapons either, and with the second I found out in SP I can still swap weapons. does anyone have a solution to this problem? I just don't like shoting three mags away before being able to use my sidearm.

Assuming you're not trolling...

Locate your Steam directory (under Program Files by default). Go to SteamApps -> Common -> Call of duty modern warfare 2 -> Players

Delete config_mp.cfg

You will have to setup your GFX options and any non-default controls after doing the above, but deleting the file (and thus causing COD to create a new, default, one when you next play the game) is the simplest way to get rid of any issues/mistakes with controls etc.

I had the same problem and had it bound, then bound it to 3 other keys. Since this was my first time leveling up in MP, I was unfamiliar with the nuances so I thought that bling just disabled my secondary weapon and I played that class for a few levels before swinging to another class without bling and still couldn't change lol

So yea, figured something was wrong and came here. Thankfully the solution posted above worked perfectly.

I'm guessing it possibly did that because in the main game I had switch mapped to tab?? I don't know. It worked fine for a while, up until I got bling.
