ok this is my computer:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
sound card : Speakers (2- SB X-Fi Surround 5.1) or Realtek High Definition Audio
Processor:Inter(R) Core(TM)2Quad CPU Q6600 @ 3.40GHz (4CPUs)
Ram : 2.5 Gb DDR II


now to the problem:
i dont know what happend but in the past few days my mw2 is a little laggy
like medume.
i tryed every thing from updating the card drivers to lowering from extra to high
still doesnt work i lowerd resolution still laggy (oo and the audio is a little laggy some times too)
can some one help me and dont tell me its ping cuz even if i play with a friend on my own server its the same.

I doubt it's a hardware issue, but you might be overheating a little due to build up of dirt/dust etc.

I'd probably start with re-installing the game and then doing a full virus scan
