hey all, i just reinstalled my windows on my hd, and the installed my cod mw2 again. when i log on the game i was lvl 1 and all my other"killstrike and signs" was gone any who know how to get them back, becoz i was on my 2nd round in prestige mode. plz help me..

It's impossible.

Unless, you use a hack to reset the stats to exactly how they were. However, remembering that exactly will be very difficult.

i dont use hack or cheat, but i have installed it 2 times in 1 week,if that can help ??

No. It's impossible to restore game stats if you no longer have your own playerstats file on your computer.

No. Imagine how much bandwidth/memory or whatever that would take up.

IIRC, the steam cloud reads the stats from an unmarked file in your steam folder (it's comprised of numbers, not letters). That is why simply deleting your players folder will not delete your stats. However, deleting the other folder will.

[Don't take this as law, it is mainly educated assumptions based on personal experience.]

Your assumptions be wrong brah.

Steam Clouds very purpose is to store your local save files on its server & keep them synchronized. Any changes you make locally will be overwritten on connection & any PC used to access games using your account automatically download the latest saves.

Local files only overwrite Steam Cloud upon closing a game. So chances are Janmandk's stats were wiped whilst Modern Warfare 2 was open.

Re-reading that post, it sounds ugly. I'll word this one better.

I thought that Steam cloud used that to "verify" (much better word) your Steam stats, and hence that's why he lost his files.
