I am new to this forum and honestly it is my last shot. I have not been able to play CODMW2 for months now on my PC.

I have the latest update and DLC Pack 1.

Now, I have found a lot about port forwarding and such with ones router and tried that to no avail. So twice now I have tried simply bypassing my router and going straight from the Cable Modem (my ISP is Comcast) to my computer only.

And I still have the same problem the server browser just sits there saying "looking for games". Interestingly, I can see the number of players online and such. I simply cannot get into a game.

BTW, my son has CODMW2 for Xbox 360 and he can play no problem through our router. (Netgear WNDR3700)

So I would appreciate any and all ideas other members might have.

UPDATE:

Ok,
Get this.

I installed steam and CODMW2 on my wifes computer upstairs even had it hooked to the same router. And guess what it worked!!!!

The only thing that was weird was that it reset my character to level 1.


So has to be something with my system doesn't it?
