Default can't read on screen text.

Hi guys

Finally got around to buying MW2 and I have been playing
COD WAW (single player) with no issues.

I've never played on-line or used stream, but I don't think they
have anything to do with my issue of not being able to read the
text options in either the menus or the game itself, the text
appears to be blocky and pixelated half formed.

I was able to guess my way onto the firing range and
everything else seemed okay, fire, movement, graphics.

But I still couldn't read any options text or compass text.

I think my card is a ATI Radeon x1600pro that's what is says under
Display properties memory is 512 could this be the problem?

Thanks in advance

Try upping your resolution to that of your monitor, when I played CoD4 at a resolution far below the native of my monitor the text was very pixellated and almost illegible.

Thanks Dante

I don't mean to be a pain but, how do I up the screen resolution
in the game if I can see any of the menu option text?

btw the game came with a second CD, but when I installed the
first CD I wasn't given any prompts for disk 2 nor could I see
any exe files, can anyone tell me how to install it

Thanks

Go into your Steam Library where your games are listed. Right-click on MW2 and then click on properties. Go into the tab named "Local Files", and then click on "Verify integrity of game cache".

Thanks, Game cache has been verified, also tried upping
Display resolution 1680x1050 60hz don't know if this matters any.

Still don't know what the second CD is for does anyone know?

I honestly can't remember whether I used it or not. Best bet is simply to re-install the game, I think.

Thanks

I contacted Activisions support they said CD2 has support files
that were probably DL during installation.

No word on the text but will try to reinstall
