Hey everybody. Not sure how close some of you are but I figured I'd let you in on a great time coming up this month in NM. Intel hosts a huge Lanfest/console gaming event for 3 days every year and this is one of their best yet. Cheap to buy in and great prizes for playing the games we all love anyways. here's some info if your interested. IT WILL HELP PASS THE TIME UNTIL 11/10/09!!!!!
![]() The biggest LAN in New Mexico is here again. The Intel LAN Fest New Mexico returns to Rio Rancho from October 23rd to October 25th 2009 for action packed tournaments, contests, games and camaraderie. In addition, all attendees are entered in a drawing to win our best prizes provided by Intel®, Razer™, Monster Engery®, ASUS®, NVIDIA®, Crucial™ and many others. If you have questions check our FAQ, post in our forums or email us at lanfest@intel.com Time & Dates Starts: Friday 5PM October 23rd (Line for entry opens at 4PM) Ends: Sunday 1PM October 25th Event Areas We have the traditional BYOC where people Bring Their Own Computer (or Console), connect to a Local Area Network (LAN) and play with friends. In addition to that there is a Console Lounge area with consoles available for people to play or just sit down and relax. Tickets and Prices: All Access: $25 online $30 at the door Includes one (1) seat with network hookup, 3.0A of power and allows participation in all BYOC and Console Lounge events. You get (2) power connections, if you need more or want to run a second PC/server then you need to buy another seat. DO NOT plan on running your gaming rig and a server at same time. Note: Online registration closes on Oct, 21st 2009 at 11:59PM PDT. After online registration is closed any available ticket can be purchased at the door. Don’t delay and save some cash by registering early! What To Bring For everyone: Confirmation email showing your payment confirmation, seat number and gamer id Signed waiver (Signed by parent or guardian for anyone under 18.) (Link coming SOON!) A photo form of identification For BYOC attendees: Computer or game console and display Mouse and Keyboard (and Joystick/GamePad if you use these) or game controllers if you are bringing a console Network cable (25ft) Power and Video Cables Games (and their required discs if applicable) Headphones (speakers are not allowed) Note:Surge Protectors will be provided (you will not be allowed to use your own.) For Console Lounge Only ticket holders: Nothing is required but you are welcome to bring consoles, controllers and games. Note: We will have Wii and Xbox 360 systems setup for the Console Lounge area. Power Restrictions Power Limit: 3.0A Socket Limit: Two (2) 110V sockets Note: If you have power adapters that take up additional space on a power strip, please bring a short extension cable so you do not block other people's sockets. Warning: Any device beyond your computer (or console or notebook) and monitor such as external hard drives, cell phones, etc. will need admin approval to be connected. Failure to follow these guidelines will be grounds for dismissal from the event at the admins discretion. Under 18 Information For those minor 15 and older that are planning to attend Intel LAN Fest Sacramento you will need to have your legal guardian complete and sign the event waiver and bring this with you when you sign in the day of the event. If you do not have this you will not be allowed in.
