I love the fact that it is set in the present era, WWII games were done to death already(W@W still a great game thou)with that it brings modern weapons, story line, attachements for guns, the new perk system, great physics(which FAIL miserably at times)great graphics while still playable on mid-end computers etc......

Probably the most addictive online FPS there is, I play on PC so there aren't any prestiges and I've completed pretty much everything there is to complete, STILL I can't stop playing it, great reward system as you rank up, Single Player is great it has CoD's traditional movie like experience too short thou, the multiplayer maps are shites compared to other games IMO but the gun costumization and HUGE variety of game modes, Hardcore, Softcore, Old School, + Sn'D, Domination, TDM, Free-For-All, Sabotage and the list goes on and on.......

Still what I love the most about it is the weapon balance in MP mode every gun fits perfectly it's role and the player's style of play and the costumization + perks + camo system <3 <3 <3 you basically have 3 different weapons in each single one.

So what do you like about it the most ?


P.S. My post may be a little messy and hard to "compute" there as I'm nearly passing out in "sleepyness" I'm actually seeing blurry a little but couldn't drop the damn keyboard and got to bed......

Well i think it is just awesome. It was pretty much my first fps and that might be why i like it so much but i have played moh, crisis, assasins creed etc and i still think that CoD4 is the best. I think its fun, has a great storyline, exciting and it is just so good i can't describe it properly.

CoD4 is so great, but to be completely honest, it still has tons of flaws. My favorite thing about CoD4 though has to be the competitive feel that I get when I play. The competition for me makes it so much fun, gives it so much re-playability, and also, at times is quite annoying. I could go on for a long time about all of the things good and bad about CoD4, but to be quite honest, I'm not in the mood...

I really love the competitive clean feel of this game.

They give you a sense of present time (Obviously). But the details and the customization were very clean, and very well portrayed.

And on to the Competitiveness. There is not a time I go on this game, and it doesnt feel competitive.

Cod4 brings out the best in Gamers.

The weapons. The recoil was pretty decent on all the weapons compared to games where it's outrageous and bounces all over the damn screen or other games where it's completely non-existent.

Yep that's a great thing about CoD4, in BF2 per example the SAW & all other LMGs are unusable if you're standing up, the only way the recoil will allow you to hit anything is if you're prone, the same thing applies for sniper rifles, and the L85 cannot hit anything if you shoot for any longer than 3 bullet burts at a time even if the enemy fills your crosshair, the MP5 can't hit anything longer than 100m in distance. CoD4 has the best most realistic recoil out of all modern shooters out there.

My first FPS was Halo, and so I played all 3 of them. Bought my 360 for Halo 3, picked up a few other games that day.

One of them was CoD4. I've played a couple CoD games and honestly, didn't like them. but a coworker kept raving how good this was, so I figured for the cheap "used" game, I'd take a chance on it. didn't actually get around to playing it until after I had beaten a few other games...

Forget Halo. This game just grabs you hard core right away. Ok, the training exercise and first mission were so-so. but then the movie style opening scene with the car driving through the city was too cool. And the rest of the game only kept getting better from there.

Then I got into the multiplayer. I pretty much suck at it. but every now and then I'll have 1 or 2 amazing matches. Keeps a guy coming back (kind of like the occasional miracle shot that keeps duffers coming back in golf). lol

^^THAT actually is so true. It keeps you comming back. I was in a bit of a slump a few days ago and was getting really frustrated as soon as I turned it on. I went to put it down but couldn't do it lol--I had to keep playing to get better again (thankfully it worked lol)---another thing I like is the community built around the game (i.e. Boards)---best thing about it IMO
