This was the very first Call of Duty game I ever played, and I've always felt that it was quite underrated in the eyes of the gaming community due to Call of Duty 2 coming out around the same time. I loved the story telling of this game and the variety of enemies fought in this game. It wasn't the same old story of fighting Germans in Europe and Russia, you fought the French in Morocco, The Italians in Sicily, and finally the Germans as you advanced into Germany. Anyways did anyone else enjoy this game?

Yea, I enjoyed this game. When I brought CoD3..I was like what the fuck is this shit? I went back to CoD2 Big Red One..then brought Call Of Duty World At War Final Front, once again. I went What the fuck is this shit?..then I stop buying games for Ps2 beside MLB 10 when it comes out..maybe madden and ncaa...

First Call of Duty game I ever set my hands on. It was a few years ago at my friend's house, we sat there and played that game for probably 5 or 6 hours.

Bought it, played it for about 30mins, decided it was one of the worst games ever made. Took it back. A rash decision?
It just lacked that certain something that makes games special, and when they cost as much as they do, I want that something special. I had just finished one of the Medal of Honour ones (can't remember which, not the Rising Sun one) and this just paled in comparison.

Interesting, IMO this is the only COD game on console that came remotely close to it's PC counterpart (which I'm not being funny but since it was made on the PC, especially pre MW2, PC was the way it was intended to be played)

Of course the HD graphics, better gameplay and far superior controls of the PC standard COD2 laughed in it's face... but still it was a decent game.

First cod game I owned haha.

I had it for gamecube at the time.

Loved how it covered the Africa campaign against the french.

Always thought that part of the war was always over looked really.

More or less I say playing the life out of cod2 Big red one hours and hours was the best ten dollars I spent thus far

No, that's COD2 on PC. COD2 on PC was then ported to 360 shortly after release.

This was the first console COD game I ever played and although the graphics, sound, gameplay, atmosphere, online, story and menu system were definitely inferior to the fully fledged PC version of COD2 - It wasn't half bad
