I have not been playing COD4MW for long and love the online side of it over any game to date.

My problem is, I get lots of horrible messages from other COD players when playing in team games online (PSN). I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I follow the group and do my best but I still get slated.

Last message I got told me to "Go cut yourself with a rusty can, your not wanted here"

It made me laugh, but is it just me being a newbie and maybe a poor player or do lots of you get horrible messages ?

Its vary rare I get horrible messages online on other games. If poor players upset your online play then it must be this.

I play ok on "free for all" and do well.

Once I remember I was playing with some clan members. We completely raped a domination about 200 -54. In that game I was the top scorer of both teams. I then recieved a message saying "You suck". I wrote back "Stop complaining just because you got owned". He wrote back "No I owned you". I lol'd hard because I was 1st FFS, how did I get owned?!?!?

I don't get messages very often--one for COD4 because I backed out of a game with a red bar (I set 'em straight). One from Quantum of Solace flaming me for 'using a hack that got me gold guns that had some magical advantage'--even though they're unlocked in the game :\

I always get hate mail because I use martyrdom as my Perk 3. You would think the scores I put up in-game would be enough to ward off these scrubs but they always trash talk. I challenge them to 1v1s and they are foolish enough to accept. After the game I chalk another name into Tx's Hall of Shame.

I play on PC so I've never really got any hate messages, not even when I do really bad, but once I was palying HC sabo, and I was using a silenced P90 and was in first place on the scoreboard, and everytime I killed this one a--hole, he started trash talking to me "f*cking noob, with that cheap P90" he killed me once then he went "you just got served b*tch" I didn't really care as in about 11 encounters we had I killed him 10 as the match progressed I changed themy weapon to the MP5 still everytime I killed him he went "WTF MP5 that's another noob class, you cheap gay MP5 noob" then I had enough and started a vote to kick him, there were 16 players including me and him it went instantly 15-0 to kick him Buh Bai a--hole

Don't worry about it man its a game and you seem like a person who wants to have fun online. Some people take the game way too serious, when you get a message don't bother with them, its not your problem some people are idiots, leave them to there own devices and enjoy the game for what it is.

I'm a self-proclaimed bad player. No one ever has, but if someone told me I sucked, I'd say, "I know!" LOL

I'm not good enough to get hate mail I guess. I've made a couple guys quit. That always makes me laugh. But no one ever goes out of his way to flame me.

But I actually got an "unsporting conduct" bad rep review once. I have no idea why. So I had a good match. I didn't exploit, spawn kill, get under the map, or do anything shady. Not sure what that was about.

I do get the occasional bad rep for "quitting early." Which is BS. First, "quitting early" is for games where an early quit results in someone not getting a win, like in Madden. Second, I play with near constant lag anyway, but if it's so bad that I don't even have a fighting chance, or it's a slide show, I'm sorry, but I have no reason to stick around. You don't lose your kills on me if I leave. LOL

I only sent mail to one guy after a match.... once. It simply said this: "I hope I never have to play against you again. You are WAY too good for me." He replied in good nature for me to just keep shooting and things will get better. so I positive repped him.

On Bog, the game started Alpha side (Domination) and went to the left alley way, tossed a grenade over the building killing two, then three more came out of the building and got them too. Sent the airstrike kill four more... got chopper and so on... my team could leave Alpha area we were pinned. I started to try to rally everyone, they were bad at one point (not too long into the game) I was 23-4... then I went 24-10... I realized the team was horrible and said "see ya...", I got hate mail saying that I was whining and that I sucked... the player that was second to me was 8-24...

I can't stand playing in a team that sucks that bad... I don't mind losing when it's competitive and I'm in a competent team, but I have idiots hiding behind the wall and not doing anything but satying in one area I leave.

I've gotten the hate mail, and simply put....if someone has that much time in their life that they can play COD and send out hate messages...clearly they have no life beyond the couch in their momma's basement...so I pity them. I play for fun, so I have good games and bad...sometimes I dominate...sometimes I get owned...but its all in fun. Post game trash talk/messages is for losers. I've been lucky enough to find some cool people to game with online, which makes the experience that much more fun. Blocke em', ignore them...just have fun, that's what VG's are for!

it really pisses me of when people get up their own ass and send hate mail to other people for doing things wrong etc.

i send hate mail to cheaters, because they just ruin the game. People getting outside the map, under the map etc. drive me crazy. (the patch in the middle of overgrown, that was terrible for so long.)

i will admit ive sent hate mail to players occasionaly calling them cheaters etc. then thought about it, realised i may have been a bit off with my aim/reactions and maybe had a bit of lag troubles, then i send them an apology for me getting wound up.

Ive stopped myself doing that lately though which is good.

the main one i remember which is similar to mlutons, is i was playing HC S&D on vacant.

now, im going to be honest (if platypus sees this he will agree lol) i suck at hardcore and i suck at search and destroy.

So, therefore, when you put Hardcore search and destory into one game type, im going to suck balls at it.

But, i like to keep things fresh and try to be well rounded, so i gave it a go.. i kept dying and whatever but i felt like i was slowly learning each map and how S&D works.

This game started, i got one kill then i died, somebody planted the bomb for us and we won the round.

Next round, i accidently picked up the bomb (was very eager to get to the right spot i didnt notice it lol) and ran off to where i thought i would do well.

Needless to say i got mowwed down in film-style gunfire and i dropped the bomb. The person who planted it last round ran off picked it up, but couldnt manage to plant it and we lost that round.

Next round started, he shot me. i thought ok fair enough, maybe he was aiming for someone else... next round started, i ran off towards the enemy and i get stabbed by who else but mr. wonder balls himself.

this carried on and the game ended, i cant remember if we won or lost, i wasnt really enjoying it too much as i spent most of the time lying down in my own blood.

i send him a message saying 'why did you kill me?' he replies 'because you suck noob.' he then quickly sent another one saying 'you're **** you dont take the bomb that way noob.'

so i got team killed 3 or 4 times and sent 2 pieces of hate mail because i sucked at the game lol.

there will always be assholes out there who think they are special and try to talk you down, just ignore them and keep improving and enjoying it at your own pace. If you do find nice people, add them. it sure comes in handy to have a friend list full of nice supportive players

And I never get hate mail because I am not very good. LOL I notice the ones that get it are the ones that are good at the game. The worst that happens to me is if I talk in the lobby and everyone finds out I am a girl...then I have to mute everyone so I don't hear all the comments.

(Yay for finding AoA so I don't deal with that no mores!!!)
