Cod 2 was better. Not played 1. Got 3 free by my xbox purchase. and well. It sucks.

COD3 was on a console, of course it sucked compared to the epic COD2 at hone on a PC. Honestly treyarch was only half the problem, the other half was trying to play a PC game with analog sticks. As a result it felt more like a Medal Of Honour game than a Call of Duty.
The sound & graphics weren't that bad. The gameplay however was horribly linear and the controls were just dreadfull.

To me it was like playing COD2 The Extended Version with the War game mode thrown in.

COD3 was rubbish because it was an extension of the CONSOLE VERSION of COD2 - hence it was bound to be rubbish.
Likewise I assume COD1 (no, it wasn't actually called "COD Classic" originally) on PS3/360 is no way near as good as it is on the PC - purely because the game was designed for a PC thus is much more suited and works better as a game.

umm, hate to go against the grain, and according to the original post i should GTFO,
but i loved cod3, couldnt get enuf of it, i played ranked matches, and i played tonnnes. i liked cod2 as well, and i got into that a fair bit, but cod three allowed multiple people online at once (four players at once) and although there were some glitches that pissed people off, u just left those games, and the ping was generally pretty good all the time. just showing my support to my procrastination game during year 11 and 12 at high school hahah
