I'm always confused when games have the XM8 rifle in it. The project was canceled completely in 2005. All signs point to it not being the future weapon for the US, or anywhere else for that matter.

The only good thing i can think of is for Kotick to have no affiliation with it what so ever. The game could suck balls but as long as he was no where near the creation of the game i would still play it happily.

I'd like COD to return to a more pure and competitive game (this was always what COD games were good at, getting the balance between fun and serious. It wasn't as "hardcore" as CS but it didn't have ridiculous 20-shots-to-kill plasma canons and nuclear grenades either)

Less idiotic and frenetic distractions and more focus on you, your weapon and the enemy.


But this would mean far less sales and MW2 was probably the most commercialised video game I've ever seen, so I highly doubt they'll go backwards and shrink their fan base.

There was never a Modern Warfare 2, what gave you that idea?

An actual sequel to CoD4 would be interesting, provided there'd be no screwing up, like no dedicated servers or horribly overpowered killstreaks, or no-recoil death cannons.

Dunno what they'd do for SP, though. The story seemed to have ended quite nicely.

Wouldn't mind some bullpup rifles, maybe like the OC-14 Groza, or conventional ones like the AK-74 or Abakan.
