Sniper (penatration?) Kills - Modern Warfare 2 Forum: Free Call of Duty MW2 Community

I have a question about penatration-ish kills (now that I think about it... this applys to every other gun also). ex. first then question... guy is facing you u shoot him in the chest with a sniper... boom dead. Guy is facing sideways and you hit him in the arm (his chest being right behind his arm)... does the bullet count toward and arm shot (with 50 cal/SP- 98 dmg and no kill) or and arm shot penatrating into chest shot and count as a kill (assuming so as not to lose anything through arm... fmj 98 arm dmg + 147 chest dmg = kill)

Also if the second situation is what happens does this work with AR's, SMGs ect... getting double dmg for 1 bullet? This has been rolling around in my brain and idk what to think.

Based off of my own experiences, it just hits the limb, even with FMJ attached, still two shot kills for me.

Also moving this to its respectable area.

The engine is coded to count the highest multiplier hit. Your experience is wrong.

according to Ninja... arm shot- alive (experiences)
and according to Viz...boom dead-chest dmg only (coding to back it up) ***winner***

This only applies to weapons with the riflebullet modifier enabled. Those that don't can't penetrate body parts.

EDIT: Also, my source is Denkirson. Not sure about which part of his site you'll find it on, though.

I guess my experience is wrong then, fair enough. I just don't understand why my bullet didn't penetrate, must have been my aim, oh well, thanks for clarifying.
