Sorry if this is the wrong spot on the forum for this, but i'm really irritated right now and I gotta ask...

Stun and Flash grenades ARE supposed to disable sentry guns right? I've read it on the loading screen dozens of times. They disable claymores, c4, AND sentry guns.

I've tried to disable sentry guns literally dozens of times with my stuns/flashes, and it NEVER works... I end up getting killed like an idiot. I am getting hit detection from it too.

I don't get it. It does say you can do that... but it never works. Am I missing something?

I believe it only stuns it for an short time. I never got to figure it out. The best way to rid yourself with an sentry gun is using riot shield & getting behind it then knife it. Or use CB and knife it directly. If that fails. aviod that area and let your do the dirty work.


& im not sure. but this should be in general modern warfare2 chat. as this is not an tournament.

I used to get spanked and used all my ammo trying to disable them until a mate mentioned knifing them from behind (providing you can get behind)

Well I know you can knife them from behind, it's getting to them to knife them if you end up in front of one that I'm talking about. According to the little tid-bits of information on the loading screen, your supposed to be able to disable it temporarily with a stun/flash like you can with the claymores and C4, but it never works.

I was wondering what was up with that?

iunno, i have stunned them before. And blown them up with semtex.
but if you use cold blooded, and a friend without CB is behind you, it will shoot you in the attempt to shoot him and you will die. It happens to me. A lot. Sucks.
