Default Claymores surviving after death

Does anyone know if the amount of time claymores hang around for after your death is affected by game-type? Whenever I kill someone who has just planted one it seems to disappear pretty much instantly, but there have been many times where I've died and then received a kill notification that could only have been a claymore, but it seems to be way after the claymore should have disappeared.
This seems to happen more in HQ (the kill comes up after i've died and am watchign my remaining teammates). Can anyone confirm if perhaps the claymore survives until the HQ has been destroyed? That would be very useful to know.

As far as I know they stay around until the player respawns.

Obvs on FFA this would mean they disappear almost instantly (depending if the player watches killcam or not). On HQ, yes, thay will stay until the HQ is destroyed (and the player respawns)...

I asked this last week

Claymores & Killcams / Respawns

Basically, the only rule seems to be that they will disappear when you respawn. So if you are watching a killcam, etc.. they will still be up.

Yeah they dissapear when you respawn. That's why in Search and Destroy you can get a kill 2 minutes after you died with claymores.

Whenever I think someone might run into my claymore after I died, I always watch the killcams. I've gotten quite a few kills like that .
