I'll be playing on a standard definition TV for all of the foreseeable future, but I want to record decently good quality videos for uploading to YouTube. After some extensive searching on the topic, I've discovered that a few potential choices would be the Dazzle DVC 100/170 or the ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 capture cards. With a price range of ~$80, what capture card would provide the best quality I could hope to attain for my recorded videos? Obviously, I don't want my playing quality to tank. Oh, and I should limit it to external devices.

The best thing to get for SD is a dazzle. i don't have a link on my youtube cause I use HD (Hauppauge) sorry. However if you youtube search dazzle capture card set up I'm sure you could find everything out about it.

By a HDTV before you think about recording anything of anywhere near decent quality.

A Dazzle, i.e. pretty crap even playing at 720p, will look even worse playing at 480p.
