I went to target today, bought a 1600 microsoft point card, went home, typed it in, and it said, "This code wasn't activated by the retailer. Contact the store and have them activate the card." So we called target and they said it was microsoft's problem and not theirs. On the reciet it said "activation successful" also. So who's problem is this and how do I get it fixed? All my friend are playing on the new maps and I'm not and it's making me angry
((((. I wanna play the maps while they're still new.

See if you typed in the code wrong, but usually it takes a while for the card to activate. Wait a little while and type in the code again.

I typed it in like 8 times, and it's been a few hours now and still not working. We called target again and they said 5 other people came in and said they had the same problem... so should I just return it and buy one from a different store?

Yeah get your money back and use your credit card instead of buying another one. Its a lot easier than driving to the store every time you want to buy something on your Xbox.

It was Microsoft's problem. The cards will work, but because of the issues they had with Live they weren't working at the time you tried.

I bought my 1600 point card from Gamestop yesterday, the card STILL says the retail store did not authorize it, i took it back to gamestop they wont refund or exchange it and verified that it did indeed have the money on it. Anyone know if this is going to fix itself or am I going to have to deal with Microsofts horrible customer service?
