Default Spas-12 questions.

Ok the first question I have is about aiming down the sights. I see some people using the spas and all they do is hipfire. Some people aim every time. Does it make a difference at all? Why might you hipfire once and aim another time?

The next question is what attachment to use. I see a lot of people using grip, but since it's pump action does it make a difference? Silencers are stupid on shotguns, fmj isnt needed cause I dont shoot through walls with shoguns much, red dot and holo aren't needed if hipfiring is all you do, so is extended mags the way to go? I can't imagine myself using every single spas-12 bullet without having a chance to reload though..

Why you should NEVER ADS with a shotgun

and i use fmj because the rest dont make sense. FMJ will at least penetrate a wall more if a guy is just dropping behind some cover

this is why. At very short range it will increase its effectiveness, but at longer range you may want to ADS to get the bigger spread and ensure a hit

The grip only decreases it's kick of view.

Thanks for that link, but I normally don't use steady aim so would hipfiring still be better?

everything
on consols, you do this:
shoot (hold it down)
press reload, switch wepaons, switch weapons quickly
it will shoot again (as if automatic)
repeat from the "press reload" part.

it seems to work better on xbox than on ps3 IIRC

Think he meant If I Re-Call, although 'Remember Correctly' splits everything up into seperate words and makes a 'cleaner' acronym

I'd say: Spas 12 - Grip or FMJ.. (still not sure..)

ADS on longer ranges, and hipfire with steady aim on fast moving/close range targets.

shotguns shoot through walls for shit anyways grip is the best choice for the spas, also the reason why sometimes you see people aiming down the sights and sometimes people hip firing is because when your aiming down the sights you scroll the screen faster and when you aim down the sights you aim slower better for precision, it just depends on your situation and how fast you need to aim neither is more accurate.

Also i know it wasn't asked but its a common question about why the spaz seems to have so much range when its bar is lower then other shotguns, its a combination of range and dmg that makes it kill at further ranges that other shotguns would only touch the enemy at and not kill them.

Because the in-game attributes are wrong. Simple as.

Use Modern Warfare 2 | DenKirson on Xanga for more accurate comparisons.

why would the grip help the spas? the Spas can't auto fire or semi-fire anyways, you have to p ump, letting the crosshair go back into position and negating any recoil, even without grip. and sometimes you have to shoot through windows, etc. with shotguns. (sometimes a person coming arpound the corner, some of your spray will go through the corner and hit the guy

If you miss your first shot with the SPAS, the view-kick when using it without the foregrip, can take your aim quite fair off the enemy, making them harder to follow. With a grip, view-kick is substantially reduced, meaning especially in very CQ, it is easier to aim that second shot.

Also, when using steady aim with a shotgun, you only get the effect while hip-firing. ADS while using steady aim, means that it will have the same spread as when not using SA. This can be useful if you encounter multiple enemies, and can increases chances of double or even triple kills.
