Is 9 days and 12 hours no life? Cause that's what I have and I have a friend who is at 5 hours who says I play way too much. But I have other friends who have 11, 13, and 21 hours. What do you guys think? I also did buy the game 2 months after it came out...

Do you actually do things other than COD, would you rather play COD when doing other things? Have your relationships and or physical appearance gone to shit? If you can answer yes to the first and no to the rest then I think ur fine.

I once read a review of guitar hero, and the reviewer said that after he had played it for over 100 hours he was feeling quite proud of himself because he was quite proficient. He then realised in over 100 hours he could have learned to play a real guitar...cue empty feeling etc..
The reason I say this is if you are a gamer you just have to accept it as a hobby or pastime like any other and acceot it as a way of killing time aswell. If not you will never be able to justify spending the amount of time on games that I do. (I don't feel a need to justify my time, and people spend more than me playing games).
As a slight counter to that...
my missus says I spend wwaaayyyyy to much time playing. (She is very good at putting up with it).
Oh and after reading the review about Guitar Hero, I have vowed never to spend 100 hours learning to play an instrument unless it is REAL!!!!

God thats funny you said that. There have been times that after a 6 hour stretch of playing it i'd go out side to my car to go to the store and stock up on food and shit, and as i'm walking i'm scoping the area and every corner like i'm looking for terrorists. Its a hard habit to break when you've been doing it for a while.

This is a terrible situation to be in. Whenever it happens I'm always afraid that for some random reason that I think of in my head, the teacher will make me stand up.... haha

Anyway, only twice have I found my life affected by CoD: one time when I played COD4 I noticed some people on the sidewalk while driving out of the corner of my eye, and I wanted to "aim" over there. The other day I saw a plane and thought 'UAV'. Otherwise that's it, except for the fact that I keep spending money on Airsoft.... which I guess has something to do with all the guns in Call of duty series'.

Yeah, I play too much. But most of this playing time comes in the early morning and the late night. I do manage to occupy myself in between.
