I'm sure this has been covered, but didn't want to go through post by post. It was prolly covered in the Ask Char thread, but...what do you all find is the quickest way to level up? What game modes provide the most XP for the least amount of time? What play styles? Do you go for headshots, killstreaks, capping flags/HQs, highest kills? I've been trying to figure it out so any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Go for the challenges. This way you can get xp points fairly quickly. If you are expecting a single answer you'll be sadly mistaken. Everyone has their own preference of how to level up. Although if you can play SnD and do well then do that.

• Do challenges. Get to those barracks and see what challenges you almost have completed, and do those. You can also do killstreak challenges, set low ones like UAV (3), Care Package (4), and Predator Missile (5), so you can get those out of the way, then move on to higher killstreaks.
  
  
• Gun challenges. Whenever I prestige, I do all of the guns up to FMJ (300) kills. That way it doesn't get boring using one weapon all the time. You'll get tons of XP working with different guns. Secondaries as well.
  
  
• Game modes. Domination, Demolition, and Search and Destroy can offer tons of match bonus XP. In Domination, every flag you capture is 150 points. That's more than one kill, however, you must play to win, not boost your Kill/Death ratio. Demolition is all about planting and defusing, and SnD rewards 500XP a kill.

There isn't much else to say but to play smart, shoot down enemy air support with a Stinger missile, and just spend time playing the game.

I find getting involved in Dom (capture the flags but also defend, you get bonus xp for that too), sabotage (you can really get in a rhythm and rack up those kills over 20minutes, if you also plant/defend the bomb then you get much more bonus xp at the end) , and demolition, same theory as sabotage.
A lot of people like S&D for this but it's no good if you die frequently - watching other players for 1.5 minutes a round doesn't earn you much.

Demolition games are long, but if you do good and get a lot of kills then you can get huge match bonuses and level up really quickly.

Domination gets you a lot of XP with a gam win bonus. If you get a lot of kills and capture flags you can end up with 3,000+ XP and maybe add about 2,500+ for the bonus.

If you include challenges completed here and there you get a decent amount of points to level up.

a really good way to get alot of xp per game besides challenges is to set your killstreaks to predator missile - harrier strike - emergency airdrop

basically just let your team take the airdrops unless its a chopper gunner/emp/ac130, gives you tons of points

the way i leveled up fast was setting killstreaks to carepackage harrier then edrop and just give your packages to your allys. When you call in a killstreak you get exp, when you give away your package with same drop you get double the exp you would normally get. Also when you get a carepackage thats your own and call in the killstreak it gives you no exp. An average e drop if you give it away is like 1000+ exp
