Default Mic Issues
My buddy's stock headset goes haywire when he's in game chat (constant static 'fuzz' sound.) However in private chat it's all good. Anybody else run into this?

In-game chat is terrible. Use Ventrilo or Teamspeak or similar.

It could be excess noise coming from the higher volume of in game action compared to the lobby.

If his mic is wireless, then it is probably down to a large amount of interference, and/or lag causing much distortion.

If it is wired, then buy a new mic.
