Any tips for using this thing? Game type, loadout, general strategy. Mainly for challenges, no other way I'd consider this thing

Create a class with it.
Enter a ground war lobby.
Put your blast shield on. Run around and get noob tubed. After an hour or two you should have your challenge completed.

Might take longer. A danger close nube tube will still kill you. Blast shield sucks.

riot shield bash with it, with blast shield not even semtex sticks will kill you

the blast shield cancels out Danger Close. It gives you a fighting chance against OMALOL, and is pretty good against non Danger Close explosives.

I put one on my stinger class, so you can slap it on when you're spawn trapped by that AC-130 or Chopper Gunner.

I liked using Blast Shield for my Domination rushing class. Worked pretty good for getting B Flag on a couple maps (Sub Base and Skidrow especially).
