Default Rapid Fire

Seems Rapid Fire is a really underrepresented attachment. It only working for SMG's of course doesn't help, but it there another reason it's so rarely seen?
Since it makes it harder to fire accurately I guess it doesn't work for most SMG's. So which gun suits Rapid Fire best, and for what setups would you use it over other attachments?

Use it on a map like Scrapyard if you do. Preferably Domination. Rush into one of the warehouses, or an enemy-infested area, and spray.

It's like G18s but better. Multi-kills FTW.

It also turns the Vector into a decently powered gun, it can be fun to use but is next to useless without rapid fire.

I think the Vector benefits most from Rapid Fire, followed closely by the MP5K.

Since it makes it harder to fire accurately I guess it doesn't work for most SMG's. So which gun suits Rapid Fire best, and for what setups would you use it over other attachments?
Rapid fire only can be used on small machine guns for one, and since most people tend to use say assault rifles since the maps are bigger and more people camp assault rifles are much more favoured, so that is probably one reason why you do not see them. As well all of the sub machine guns except the Vector have recoil, so already they are not so good at long shots, so if you have rapid fire on, then they will just become even worse. Something like the Vector might benefit from rapid fire, it already has a great rate of fire, so an even better one could make up for its weaker damage, as well its almost no recoil would allow it to control rapid fire.

A gun like the MP5K already has a great rate of fire, but tons of recoil so unless you are going to be playing something like Rust or Scrapyard or staying in only close quarter areas on a map, I strongly disagree with using rapid fire.

As well maybe you do not see it much because most people can unlock the other attachments fairly quickly, so usually you will see those attachments over say rapid fire. As well even when I have it unlocked, I usually do not use it because of the above said extra recoil. If you are good at bursting them maybe it can be somewhat effective on bigger maps and guns with more recoil, because when you get in close you can rape with it.

I just feel the other attachments are way better.

I think rapid fire should as well only be used with say like marathon and lightweight because you can use the extra speed to quickly get close to the enemy and rape.

As well maybe if you use rapid fire use something like a silencer or red dot sight as another attachment, so bling as your first perk, that way it can help you control the recoil better hopefully.

I will just post a class just for something for you to try out.

Primary: Vector Rapid Fire
Secondary: USP .45 Tactical Knife

Equipment: Throwing Knife
Special Grenades: Stun Grenades

1st Perk: Marathon Pro
2nd Perk: Lightweight pro
3rd Perk: Commando Pro

I've screwed around with rapid fire on the MP5 like people mentioned. Sometimes I'd get my shit rocked and other times I couldn't believe I just got those kills. That's the problem with hipfiring. Sometimes it's great, sometimes you miss. While a MP5 with rapid fire, stopping power, and steady aim is about as good as hipfiring is going to get, it's still inconsistent. Obviously close range is better, but you won't always be up close.
