I say go for it. I want to get to the top. I'll worry about all the Fall Camo's, SitRep Pro's, and all of that when im at the top of the mountain, and have no further to climb. Trust me, the closer you get to 10, you feel a sense of achievement.

I thought this game was a POS and I didn't understand why anyone even played...look at me now! Well anyway I said no way in hell am I going to prestige.. who give a s*it anyway? So my boyfriend promised he'd buy me the map packs if I did so of course I did it. I finally got back up to 70 and played a while just enjoying having everything I wanted unlocked and having whatever camo I wanted and all that.. then I got bored. So I'd say play and get attachments and master some weapons then when you get bored you can prestige and have an actual goal at least.

I just prestiged to 9, I'm level 66 now. I had been prestige 8 for some time, but I got bored, just like you. I could not decide whether or not to prestige. But I stopped thinking and just did it. I'm leveling really really fast.

Just do it.

I was very hesitant to prestige, the first time.

However, after I had over 400 SCAR headshots while at level 70 (no prestige), it came to my attention that:

a) you can not get the gold skull title for a weapon until you prestige at least once; and:

b) headshot count only carries over from prestige to prestige after you prestige the first time

I was not impressed, as I had racked up in the area of 200 headshots while at level 70.

Now, I don't really care. I'm on third prestige, and other than the first time, the only time I hesitated was when I was extremely close to finishing a couple of 10k challenges. (note: I don't focus on score all-that-much though). I also generally roll with my primary class, a run class (for two maps only), and a 50-cal class which is rarely used, and a test class. IOW, the additional classes don't do anything for me.

I've found that right after prestige, my shot accuracy skyrockets by using the FAMAS, as I'm a single-shot or three-shot burst junkie anyway. With that said, I'm still focusing on my gold skull for scar, so it's generally the only gun I use as primary.
