What happens to the points scored for downing a helicopter or harrier?

Default What happens to the points scored for downing a helicopter or harrier?
I never gave this a second thought until I entered a TDM near the end and besides only having time to make 1 kill, I was able to down a harrier. To my surprise my total score for the match was only 100 points. What happened to the other 200 points?

They add to your overall score for your username, but do not add to the score for TDM. The only thing that counts in TDM is kills and assists.

Oh! So it doesn't add to the team score either?

Here's me running around with a Javelin putting myself at risk for a score count I don't care much about...

Maybe it's time to switch my secondary.

It increases your match bonus, so helps you level up faster. If you're looking to keep prestiging then it's definitely worthwhile shooting down, as well as helping your team of course.

and if iirc it does add to your match bonus, just like bomb defusals in S&D do. Either way you get EXP
