I don't know any. Maybe you can get yourseld a HD DVD-recorder.. Or record in SD, and edit and export in HD, just like I do. Then you'll still get nice HD intro's and effects.

Yea, get the Hauppauge. It's a bit pricey, but worth it. That's what I use to record. If you want a tutorial video lemme know, I get asked a lot and I linked on on my page. If you want the link (the video is done by someone else) let me know and I'll post it here for you.

Hauppauge is the best from what I hear. Check out some of NinJas vids, I know he uses it.

Heres some information I posted about HD capturing from another thread on here.
I'll help you out, we're going to tackle HD first. A lot of videos on Youtube are in HD, however, not true HD, for they just capture with standard quality, and use an HD resolution. The following is what you need to capture in High Definition. HDTV If you want to record in HD, while playing in HD, you will need two things. You will need Component cables for your PS3. Try going into Radioshack, or order some online. You can buy them online here for pretty cheap. Amazon.com: PlayStation 3 Component AV Cable: Video Games Now that we have that settled, you'll need a capturing device. I personally recommend the Happauge HD PVR. Which can be observed Here. It's a bit pricey, but in anything electronic, you get what you pay for. It's $250. It comes with a set of component cables to connect to the device, install disc, and of course the device itself. With this device you can also record your television shows if you have an HD cable box. Since we're looking into the gaming area, this is the device you want. Just be sure your laptop can handle it. So long as you have 2GB of RAM, you should be fine. Here is a link to the installation video if you want to check it out. Very informational, and everything is right in front of you. YouTube - Hauppauge HD PVR Setup Tutorial Xbox 360 PS3 Hauppauge HD PVR System Requirements: Spoiler: SDTV You have many options when it comes to recording and playing in Standard Definition. A Dazzle is basically a capture card that connects via USB port. I recommend the Dazzle Platinum. You will need three composite cable splitters to be able to play on the TV, and record on your PC. Specifically a Y RCA splitter, which looks like this. It splits the signal so you can play on your TV, like I said above. This is what a Dazzle looks like. It provides pretty good quality, and I definitely recommend it over the EzCap and the Blitzbox B1, and it cost's anywhere from $50-90 dollars. EDIT: Here is a video of the complete setup to the Dazzle. This shows what you need, where to get it, and how to set it up. Click me! If you have any questions, please let me know, I've worked with many capturing devices in my time. Hope this gives you some insight. Want to record in High Definition? Try the Happauge HD PVR. And for Standard Definition, try the Dazzle. Again, I have experience with both devices, I'll answer any question you need. |

YouTube - Record GamePlay In HD: Hauppauge HD PVR That's a video that dizzy doug does on the Hauppauge explaining everything you could need to know about it. He talks about using it with a mac too (which is what he does). I would suggest watching it if you want to get a cap card. Don't ban me 'cause I'm not at 50 posts Ninja!!!!! This isn't my video :]

I dunno if you have gotten anything yet but you could also look into this. It's made for the Mac and I use it.

Either of those will work for PS3 depending on whether you have a pc or mac. Ninja uses the Hauppauge for PS3 and I use the Elgato for PS3. Since I have a mac I use the Elgato but the Hauppauge will work for both mac and PC. The elgato was convenient for me cause it came with the EyeTv recording software for Mac.

If you are going to get the Hauppauge 1212 HDPVR and you have a Mac you should know 3 things..
1. You need to use Component cables not HDMI. 2. The TV needs to be in HD 3. You need to have EyeTV software (version 3.1 or later) which is going to cost you a little more.
