What's the story with the new game modes?
Hi guys, firstly I had a search for this topic but couldnt find anything. I have been offline for a while and am now back on the forum (missed it alot) and back on the MW2.
Was wondering when the available game types changed and what the reasons for it were? Me and my young cousin used to play 3rd person cage match all the time and I was sad to see it go. Any word of them coming back? or any other info on the topic? Was just curious as he was asking about it and i didnt know much on the reasons. hope you all are well, Sammy |

I believe they did away with those types of modes and replaced them with the Barebones game mode. Might have been a bad choice for PC though...5 minutes later it was down to 9 people out of 11,000+ in Barebones.
 Not sure if they will be bringing 3rd person back as it didn't seem to be that popular, and they knew that a lot of people were bitchin' about the Killstreaks being so OP. |

Objective Barebones tends to have the least amount of traffic out of all the playlists.
Barebones Pro (TDM and FFA) as itself is fairly popular though, speaking for the PS3.

I literally did away with my stinger class, now i only play BB or SnD, where KS's don't make a huge diff... it's really nice being able to run around without either having to hide in a building, kill yourself to take out a stinger class, or really put on CB for that matter

hey Pants, you were the first one to ever comment on my first thread, which was also my first post! Thanks, oh and barebones pro and objective barebones replaced the third person game-modes. and team tactical went away and got replaced by a "bonus maps" button. so. yeah, in summary, IW is too lazy to code a scrolling playlist, so they just delete game-modes when people want new ones.

^ Little late on this, but yes, team tactical is still here. Only 3rd Person Cage Match was taken out and Barebones was put in. I actually prefer it because most of the people I know only used 3rd PCM for boosting..
