I was midway through a TDM in Overgrown and I was about to enter a building. All of the sudden my movement freezes and the picture starts jerking around. I've had this many times before but the server just resets and the game continues.

This time the server didn't reset, so while waiting I always check if my movement is back on... it was, so in I went and there's these two guys just standing there in slo mo. So I thought, oh it's lagged again so I checked if I was still moving. I was, so heck!... game on, so I raised my FAL and gave the first guy 2 taps to the head, down he goes and I expected the other guy to deck me. He didn't, he just stood there doing nothing. Soooo, double tap to the head again down he goes... out I go saw another guy just standing there. I would've normally shot by then, but I was wondering is this guy frozen as well?!?? But everything had normalized and he gunned me down.

What was that all about? Is that lag or was there a hacker in my team?

Probable explanations anyone?

Excessive Lag. I have had it happen before to my teammates. Some of them had the red bar after a host change and literally were not moving. The killcam showed three of my teammates getting gunned down and when the scores came up they had single bar.

Yeah, that was lag. While some people (such as yourself) regain connection, others continually lag. Eventually (on consoles at least), you'll see "RandomPlayer1 Timed out".

Was there a host migration beforehand? And if there was, did you see a "?" above their heads?

Paradox

This happened to my friend in a dom game. Everyone except him and another guy were at the waiting for new host screen. He commented on everything he did. "I just got a triple RPG guys. Too bad you're frozen."

Here's a paradox for you...

I once was in a game where everybody froze or was kicked out except me... I got an ac130 lol... cheap but they were like stuck in "Resuming"

No host migration, so everyone resumed eventually.

Well that makes sense to me now. I think it may have happened to me once without me knowing what happened. There was lag then a host migration, but when the game resumed I was in another place?!?? I was probably killed, then re-spawned without me seeing any of it.

I used to just watch guys movin around like that. I get easily entertained by lag weird stuff.

I suppose it always pays to check if I have resumed earlier and get some free points!!
