When I wasnt prestige my only sniper rifle was a wa2000 but now every1 hates them even though they are quite effective, but i know every1 is using an intervention but WHY??? can some1 tell me

2nd, people use the intervention because it gives them the (false) sense that they are pro/better/1337/whatever because it is the only bolt action and is the one y'all pr0 quicksc0p3rz use.

It doesn't need SP but it can't achieve a lower torso kill even WITH SP.

Use a Barrett with SP. Same kill zones, less sway, more ammo, same accuracy (all weapons are perfectly accurate aside from launchers. ALL OF THEM) and spammability should the need arise.

i personally would go with none of the above and stick with either the barrett/m21 (barrett for core, m21 for hardcore) but if i had to choose between the 2, i'd go with the WA2000 just because it can spam shots if you miss the first one.

I think WA2000 is a good gun but all use intervention i dont know why . But the baret is the best sniper rifles

Intervention if your really good at accuracy. I've used a WA2000 and it's actually prettyy gud,i like it because you can spam them..tee hee but in my opinion.Intervention is my choice coz I use Interventions alot...>;D

You can use both there are no rules saying you cant use more than one sniper rifle. I have extended mags and quite of the prestiege challenges done for the Intervention, Barret .50 cal and for the M21EBR.

Honestly if I want to quickscope and no scope in a match I use the Intervention, Barret with a thermal scope ('nuff said) and if I'm just being passive and sitting around Ill use the M21 and double tap for kills.

prefer the WA2000 to Barrett or interbention because of low recoil, love the EBR but it's more of a single shot rifle with a scope...like a FAL on speed really....but then I only play hardcore so pretty much one shot kill with any sniper. I DON'T QS!!!! (and for anyone who knows, Sniper elite is still one of the best games ever)

I've used all the sniper rifles alot and they all have there purposes.

I think that people use the Intervention on the 360 because the auto aim is rediculous. To me it seems that the Intervention is way easier to do those stupid quickscope/noscope. The only time that I try to quickscope/noscope is when someone really suprises me and I have no time what so ever to pull out my pistol. This happens like once for every game of TDM. With the Barrett I get maybe 1 outa 20, with the Intervention I get like 1 outa 5. It also seems that you don't need to be as accurate with the Intervention. You don't see many vids with the Barrett.

I wonder if there is anyway to verify that the auto aim is higer on the Intervention?

All that being said the Barrett is still way better because Hardscoping is the way to go.

This is something i've noticed. I'm a loyal WA user and i was looking at the stats a while back and SP doesn't help the gun at all. I use CBP instead.

Thank you!!! Someone who gets it! I can't tell you how many times i'll watch a kill cam were the cross hairs weren't even on my guy and it still killed me. People wanna call themselves a good sniper, but turn around and use the intervention. Pethetic.

My Opinion: I prefer the WA cause it takes a little more skill to get one shot kills with. Unlike the Barrett that has the initial power factor (not to mention SP), the intervention (n00b sniper) and the M21 that has no recoil what so ever (more like the FAL with a hard scope), the WA takes a little more time and patience to use and get used to. I love the gun and love the sound it makes as well.

Very constructive guys. I'm surprises your extensive arguements haven't indeed resulted in the end of said thread.

O/T - due to the lack of effect of SP on the WA I usually only use it if I want to run a sniper/CB class. Overall on points the Intervention wins by default because the WA lacks in areas rather than the intervention shining (slow raise time, takes up more of the screen, less chance of a OHK).

I like all snipers, but I do only use the intervention nowadays. Overall it's worse than the other snipers but it all comes down to personal preferenses. I love the intervention, mostly how it handles but also the features. Therefore, I use it. It's also the one sniper that requiers most skill because of the bolt action. Why most *~pro snipers~* use it is partly because of the resemblense from the two bolt action snipers from cod 4, the M40 and the R700. I reiterate, use what YOU enjoy the most.
