Everyone here probably knows that anyone using lightweight (or an SMG, I have recently learned) can sprint past claymores without an effect. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions on how to prevent the lightweight user running past the claymore.
I heard placing the claymore backwards can work, but I'm not sure if thats such a good idea...

Its a great idea where the beams and the claymore face will point to his back as they run past them. Now if they have scrambler pro, then you are effed since they will delay it enough to run past it. Luckily most want commando for that huge lunge or ninja pro for silent footsteps so put them facing away so the blast will get them as they sprint by it.

Place them better.
ViS used a diagram in a guide on C4F, that shows the best way.

Don't plant them directly facing the opening of a door or opening.
Instead, plant them like in the graphic that Platypus posted. That means, when you're planting it you will be facing across the opening and against the wall, but just far enough away so that the beam is not visible until it's all too late.

Put it directly behind your butt
![]() That way if they try to run and knife you, they'll run into the claymore, and you can realize if they're there

I made a guide on how to make a better claymore back in December '09, but here's my diagram anyways.

Im a lightweight-Claymore person coz im a rusher. But as other people said, put it further into the room or put it behind their back. I would also put 2 claymores 1 at the door and 1 a bit further.

The best way I've found is to shout at the TV/game.
