If you have a Silencer on the same gun will they cancel each other out?

Silencer only reduces visual recoil.

ACOG increases a weapons range, and the silencer decreases it by the same amount, I'm wondering if the too things will cancel eachother out i.e. make it so the gun doesnt have either on it

I don't believe so, as ACOG is just a scope and will NOT increase damage. They probably will cancel each other out, but it's effectiveness depends on the gun you are using.

SMGs, MPs, and handguns suffer the least from silencers with no base damage reduction with a slight reduction in range. AR's suffer more range reduction, however no base damage reduction, however SR's suffer the most from suppressors. Talking about damage from range drop offs.

To answer your first question, there isn't really range on MW2 either when it comes to primaries, so for the most part, ACOG isn't necessary to use and gives you more of a disadvantage in most situations.

In-game stats are meaningless and can be deceiving. The range increase on the in-game stats are just saying you can see more with zoom. You can still hit anyone anywhere on the map with a primary without ACOG.

Its just a scope, you can zoom in for a clear shot. As far as the damage or ttk ACOG does nothing for you. And silencer decreases the range where the gun deals maximum damage. Ie with a FAMAS which is a 40-30 weapon at a ceirtain range before those values drop off. Silenced the range at which FAMAS does 40-30 damage decreases. Acog will not increase the damage at range.
