the ump doesn't really need stopping power, so you could use a different second perk, lightweight, hardline or cold-blooded.

Any perk setup works with the ump, but the best perks are Marathon, Lightwieght and Ninja. Marathon, Cold-blooded and Ninja is another great setup. You unlock Marathon and lightweight from start and then you unlock Cold-blooded on level 25 and ninja on 29. Have fun and use whatever setup that utilize your gamestyle.

If you are using lightweight you shouldn't use steady aim, you should use commando.

Stopping Power on the UMP is ineffective outside of Commando range.

Lightweight Pro combined with Steady Aim massively increases survival while hipfiring.

Ump rushing = around 1/4 encounters is more than one enemy, commando fails at tkk multiple enemies.
And ineffective outside commando range? Go watch clutchs video again.
Ump without sp on short range has slow ttk, two enemies will roflpwnyou with pretty much anything. Lightweight is pretty much useless compared to other utility with an ump class.

Unless your tactically flanking instead of rushing. You know, trying to get behind the enemy team. Then, of course, Lightweight is quite valuable.

Just mentioning: UMP's damage starts dropping at about 13-4m. Commando range is just under 5.

Lightweight Pro > Stopping power for the ump. You can ads in 0.1 seconds instead of 0.2 and SoH Assault rifle takes 0.15 seconds so you even gain an advantage here. Dropshoting with L pro is insanely easy and will often confuse your enemy/enemies since WHUTSLOWREACTIONTIME. The TTK does increase with the pro version since you get of the first shot quicker than the stopping power user, unless you use Soh like you suggested. But as far as Marathon + lightweight/stopping power goes once you get the Pro version it will outplay Stopping power. again all preferense sooooo.........
