Default Oh. My. God.

So I'm browsin round the forum, and i read all these posts tellin bout how great the tar-21 is, so, tired of doing 10-15 every match with an ACR, i switch over, put on bling, and get a silencer and a rds which is very strange on a Tar-21. I slap on stopping power because im trying to get the pro for it anyawy, and i start skidrow. OH. MY. GOD. I start getting kills left and right, only taking 4 or 5 bullets. im astounded, and by the end of the match, im 21-5 8D

So, it's my new favorite gun, but I have a couple of different questions, one does the RDS sight on the Tar-21 reduce recoil? because after i took it off for a new strategy (more on that later), it seemed there was more recoil. , that's one question, the next is, I need a assault rifle, a stinger missle to take down air support, AND a shotgun, so after feeling immense guilt for getting 20 noobtube kills, Here is the class im running at the moment, comments and sugggestions?

Tar-21 Silencer /Masterkey Shotgun

Stinger

Flash Grenades, Semtex

Perks
~~~~~~
Bling Pro
Stopping Power (Trying to get pro)
Commando Pro (Trying to think of a more useful one, first time i used SitRep I didn't see an explosive for 5 matches)

Are you using RDS because you find the TAR-21's irons to be too sight restrictive? My suggestion is to swap out Bling to Sleight of Hand. To me, the TAR is fine with it's irons, and Bling is just a waste when you have better perks like SoH and Scavenger even. I've not used the Masterkey so I can't comment on that, perhaps it's worth using Bling for. IDK really. I mean there isn't much recoil on the ACR, but it's chews through mags, so the TAR is a better choice with SP, but it has more recoil.

I use the TAR on my "kind of anti air class", even though it's just for me to get Javelin kills. But I use it with a noob tube, Scav Pro, DC Pro and Commando Pro. I think using DC Pro or CB Pro as your second tier perk is better for an anti air class. And I just switch classes after I get killed by the first bomb dropped or Harrier death.

/Waits for someone to tell me I'm full of shit. Which is highly likely.

If you absolutely need the shotgun then that class looks pretty good. Cold Blooded might help that class for the stinger. I would personally run tar21 silenced (a must) stinger sleight of hand or scavenger cold blooded and commando or ninja. In my opinion a shot gun isnt needed because the tar is very useful at close range. It has accurate hip fire and high damage. If your really in trouble you can always knife with your commando.

Bear with the RDS until you unlock the Holographic Sight, it's the best sight second to the irons. Other than that, the Silencer is a good choice to use, the three shot kill comes quickly with the TAR's deadly fire rate. Try:

Aggressive
TAR-21 w/Holographic Sight
Stinger Missiles

Sleight of Hand/Scavenger Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

The ideal, best overall setup you can use. You can switch it around a little bit with Scavenger if you plan to be alive long and take out multiple killstreaks. If you get spawn-trapped, feel free to make a separate class with Cold Blooded instead of Stopping Power.GH is right, you shouldn't need a masterkey shotgun or Bling because with Steady Aim, the TAR's high fire-rate and DPS makes it a good CQC weapon.

Fandom Ruck is right. The silencer only reduces VISUAL recoil. Shockingly to some people the UMP45 RDS and UMP45 Silencer have the same amount of recoil.

I go Silencer or FMJ on the TAR. Unless i'm keen for a good tubing. To me, tubing just seems better with the TAR.

I don't use the silencer to reduce recoil, I use it to not appear on the map, is the ability to not appear on the map crucial? I assumes it was, if it isn't, then I'm going to follow your advice. Thanks. I have the holo, I just thought rds was better, thnks for advice ninja.

Tar silenced and with irons is a beast. I have two classes with the Tar one with SoH and one with Marathon Pro. SoH more for sneaking and Marathon for going in there and just pouncing on the other team and annoying the living crap out of them.

I know what he means about the RDS. I know it doesn't affect the gun's behaviour at all and yet every time I swapped it out I also felt a change in performance. It must just be some psychological trick due to the uniqueness of the sight.
Regardless of statistics and the reality, being human means that psychosematics are very important in this game - the way everyone is surprised when they first hear about silencers is testament to that.
Also, to the o/p - I would take the TAR over the Masterkey in CQC any day of the week, too often it's a 2 shot kill.

I do great with this gun, but I can't say it's one of my favorites. I don't mind the red-dot sight at all, but I do use the Iron sights because FMJ is the best attachment for this gun imo. Soh, Stoping and ninja is a great perk setup to use. SoH should be a necessity for this gun due to the fact that the clip is at the back of the gun and takes longer to reload.

If you don't have silencer, poeple will swarm all over you to try and kill you = more kills for you aslong as you are better than them at the game.

The TAR's the best weapon in the game but console players are retarded so they think the UMP is. It doesn't need any attachments so feel free to either silence it or shove FMJ in it. Any other attachments are a waste.

If you want to use the shotgun wihout feeling like a lemon because your primary's now pointless, take a FAMAS. I don't think I need to explain myself there.

FWIW

Extended mags on Tar are not a bad option. Not great but its not a hinderance and extra ammo doesn't hurt.

If you run scav it could be good, might not make a huge difference if you have SoH.
