So just a quick question I wanted some opinions on.

Once Black Ops comes out, do you think MW2 players will get better, worse, or stay the same? Obviously some people will come back and play MW2 once in a while, but as for your everyday MW2 players after that, what do you think?

I think it's pretty obvious. If BOPS makes up for the failings in MW2 such as OP guns, OP Killstreaks, Boosting via Tac Inserts, Noobtube spamming etc etc...then online players will gravitate towards BOPS.

Black Ops is going to do what Mw2/CoD4 did to W@W, no one will play MW2(I wont and I doubt most people that I know will) if Black Ops is crap, I'll maybe play CoD4 or else not play CoD at all.

Well...I have noticed there are worse players on COD4 than MW2at this point in time, granted that could also be because I only had COD4 mp for like 3 months so I could have just gotten better at gaming overall. SO I will guess that the skill level will drop on MW2, not that it matters much with game mechanics.

Black Ops will result in no one playing Mw2, just like Mw2 and CoD4 did to W@W(no one plays W@W, there's more playing CoD4, and when MW2 came out, everyone else went to that.)

If Black Ops is shite i'll go back to CoD4 or else not play CoD at all.

Even if Black Ops flops in a epic fashion, people will still play it in sizable numbers. People played MW2 in masses in the prime time of its BS. And even when Reach was realeased, there were still more people playing MW2 then Reach. I realize its not a CoD vs CoD type of competition, but with all the crap thats included in the game, more people played it, than the shiny new toy that just came out. I fully expect this out of BO as well, there will be issues in the begining of the game people will bitch and continue to play. I am probably one of those people. Trying to play through the crap to get to the sorta decent end product after patches.

Now as far as MW2 is concerned, it will either draw back the population who just does not want to adjust to BO mechanics and gameplay, or it will die a hacker infested death. IW and Activision have washed their hands of the game. So it could either turn decent with good players still playing it, or it just become a carnival of who can grief who more with in game bullshit.

The more interesting thing to me is, what are their plans for CoD4. Do they plan on just cutting the online access to the game ala Halo 2 style? If this were to happen it brings in a whole new dynamic to it. Thoughs?

I think the skill level of players will decrease if Black Ops turns out to be any good. My reasoning is this; If Black Ops is any good the remaining good players in MW2 will switch over to Black Ops leaving all the noobs behind. Also if Black Ops is harder to play and more balanced than MW2 (and I really think it will be) most of the noobs who liked how easy MW2 was to play than I think they will go back to MW2. This will leave MW2 with all the worst possible players and hackers so MW2 will be left to die in a fire of hackers and noobs.

I agree with this. I can't wait for them to drown in their own filth, a surging mass of MLC tac knifers vs. oma whores. Then they'll come to realise what's been pissing everyone else off for so long but will lack the skill to move over to a game that doesn't rely on imbalance to level the field. Either that or they will move over and become $$$$ for the rest of us in wager matches.

This made MW2 sound like it would be quite ammusing, until I read about hackers. They won't Patch Anything (because they don't try hard enough as it is, let alone once Black Ops comes out). Lame.
