2) Had a look but no random max count info 3) Why? 4) I'm sure it doesn't really matter? 5) I'm sure it's also more than 280

I figured it out. My visitor messages was set on friends only and this particular person refuses to accept anyone as their forum friend. I conceded and changed it to registered members.
