I know that in the blink of an eye I'll have passed 10 posts--but as someone who is really into displaying and creating gfx--it's rather off-putting to turn up and get that message. Eh---not a big deal but was enough to get me narky lol

i think it sort of like the limit other forums have where yo have to have a 10 or higher post count to start a thread.

but yeah i dont understand the no pics thing, wot does that achieve?

It's to keep graphics artist from coming on to a forum, posting a thread about graphics, and never coming back.

I agree with this rule. People can't come on the site for sigs and leave.

Also improves load time not ALWAYS displaying images...

I am not passionate about the rule either way though. We can lower the minimum or disable it altogether if need be...

i think people in general will complain about this feature later on. might be best to remove it now rather than 4 months down the road with 500+ new people complaining.

It's not a big deal but trust me it'll make no diff to sig requests. I never make a sig unless I know the person or they've got 100 posts. 10 posts is hardly indicative of an active user.

I'll just turn it off... no biggie. It was links AND images and links were the primary concern (helps prevent spam etc)

I actually don't mind this, as you say it deters spam. I come across a fair few people spamming with links etc in their sig. I think it is handy.

I agree with the no links. Some people just sign up to post a link to download a virus then leave.

Yeah I see your point of view...alternatively you just get 10 spammy posts. But yeah, it doesn't matter to me whatever the decision
