People have enough trouble trying to identify the difference between the intro, video and discussions sections. You expect them to be able to decide for themselves what constitutes tactical debate and quick questions?

I have a feeling that correcting Vis' forum etiquette is a BAD IDEA fenny, (especially when his post was merely an accurate concern, not directly related to the thread you linked). I suddenly have the same feeling when I hear "NUKE DEPLOYED, IT'S ALL OVER!" and the timer starts. Take it Vis!

ViS has a point though. There's always a couple threads a day that get put in the wrong section. I don't know why it's so hard to put 2 and 2 together for some people -____-

Oh yeah he has a very valid point, I too don't understand why people think a video deserves to be in "general discussion" and not "MW2 Resources" which, as it says, is for "Modern Warfare 2 Screenshots, Graphics and Videos" however this is what moderators are for, hence we are trying to appoint some more, just awaiting the final moderator to put their vote in.

There is a massive mix of quality topics, and ranting/answered-a-thousand-times/poll/general discussion threads.

ViS is right, people do have trouble deciding if their topic is really saying "hello" "look at my youtube channel" or "which gun is best" so if this doesn't work then it doesn't work, it's even simpler to remove than it is to add.

But if it works even a little bit we all benefit, more serious members have somewhere to debate weapon statistics and competitive tactics, those members just wanting to ask a simple question benefit from a more concentrated array of similar short questions and everyone else who has also been saying "general discussion is too general" also benefits.

If this goes semi-well the next thing I'd like to do is seperate the rants, even though critiscism has it's place, from the real stuff. However it'd be good to do this in a subtle way, not a subforum called "rants" that implies "this is a forum for a bunch of moaners."

Fenny, he was making a new thread to discuss an idea brought up in another thread, nothing wrong with that.

As for the matter at hand ViS, I have a feeling it will be extremely difficult to come up with something that makes the two sections evenly split, but I bet in a few weeks we will have a plan and some tools.

I'm not a big fan of having a Video Section in general. Most of the threads turn into "Oh I did that once..." and no one really cares about the video after the second page of posts.

I don't mind the new sections right now, but I'd give them two weeks or so, and if it's heavily ignored, in my personal opinion I think it should go back to just GD.

ViS does have a valid point here, there will be a lot of confusion probably, and most of us are going to take second, or third guesses at where to post what, depending on the subject.

As for the the MW2 Resources comment... maybe consider renaming it "MW2 Media" or "MW2 Media & Resources."
