Clan tags - Modern Warfare 2 Forum: Free Call of Duty MW2 Community

On C4B we were able to display our clan tags next to our name. I think this was pretty useful for recruiting purposes and for arranging battles and the like. Would it be possible to bring that here?

Yea that actually would be pretty good. Generally if you were part of a clan you would just put it as part of your name.

But on the previous sites, they have came up with a clan tag system. Bc what happens if you leave that clan? Too much hassle to complete a name change request. It would just be easier for a clan tag system.

Yea nah i agree. I think its a good idea. It would make the admins jobs a lot easier as well because then people don't need to change their names all the time.

I'd just add another section under the avatar as "Clan:"

Does it matter? My clan tag changes at least once a day.

Does is just? Rememb in T2 you're only allowed in one clan--it's fine to change it in game if you're playing with a bunch of friends but why's there a need to change your clan tag on forums?

On Boards we got a great number of recruits because people could see that all the veteran/regular posters were membs.

It's the forums, which are meant to represent your clan. why would you need to change it ?

damn i never joined T2??? smiles. i've never been in any clan except my own!

but yea it would be cool to have something like the system from C4B where it puts it before your name.

In C4B you were able to add your clan tag, no need to create it into your user name, therefore no hassle for the admins. There was an area in profile set up were it would allow you to add the clan tag and a choice of displaying it or not. I really liked it, if you changed clans, you can just change the clan tag.

A while back member's requested some sort of way of idetifying which consoles people played on. As you know I have powers to add that to the profiles... but do not have powers to add it to the bit on the left (does that bit of the left of a post have a name btw?)

Would you mind doing the honours?

I added a section to the left (postbit is what that is called) to accommodate/display your account info for whatever you have filled in (if you don't put anythign it, it won't display). That will take care of multi platform people.
